You need to add the Youtube redirect link before the regular Plex URL: To go full screen, we use a trick with the Youtube redirect. You’ll notice that the movie will play in the small web browser window on your Tesla screen. The address you need is your external IP, on port 32400.īookmark this URL and then you can watch it at anytime. In your Tesla web browser, all you have to do is to navigate to that address, and you can play movies right in the browser. There are many websites where you can go to get that IP, like or 4. Now, to access it from your car, you just need to get your home network’s external IP address. The previous step will point any request to your home network to the Plex server. The Server IP will be the internal IP you found in the previous step, and the port is the Plex port - 32400. On Xfinity (Comcast), for example, you go to for your router’s admin page, then navigate to Advanced -> Port Forwarding, and Add Service. ![]() You have to find that option in your router’s admin page. Now this might be a bit more complicated, but you must do a port forwarding in your Internet router. For example, I have a WD drive, and the WD app shows me the IP when I Open that drive. If it’s an external drive, you can use the Fing App on your phone, or use the tools for your drive.If it’s on a Unix machine, you know how to do it already.(look for something in the format above). If it’s on your Windows computer, run ipconfig from a command prompt, and it will show under Ethernet adapter (if it’s wired), or Wireless LAN adapter.It will most likely be in the form of 10.0.0.xx. This could be your computer’s IP, or an external storage (like a NAS drive) IP. First of all you must find out your Plex server’s internal IP address. ![]()
